General Info

Tardy: School starts promptly at 8:00am.  If you arrive after 8:00am, you will need to sign your son/daughter in and they will be sent to class with a tardy slip.  Please do your best to have your child here before 8:00am.  We will be learning and exploring many things this year, so it is vital that they are here on time.    Breakfast: Doors open at 7:40 and breakfast is available.  Children will be able to focus and learn more if they get plenty of sleep and have a good breakfast.

BIRTHDAYS: You may send a treat to school on your child's birthday. Birthday treats will be shared in the cafeteria.  Please be sure to send enough for each child in our class.  If there aren’t enough for all, I will not be able to pass them out. If your child's birthday is in the summer, you may choose a day during the year to celebrate his/her birthday.  Remember if you send cupcakes, they must be the “small” size.

RED TAKE HOME FOLDER: Please check your child's red take home folder EVERY evening. Your child will need to return this the following day.  Please also be sure to sign the behavior sheet in the fron of their black binder every day.

CLASSROOM PARTIES/EVENTS: We will have a couple small celebrations throughout the year.  I will send a note home and ask for volunteers a couple of weeks before any classroom event.  I will also put this information on our class website.

Big Dog of the Week:  I will be sending home a schedule for our Big Dog of the Week.  When it is time for your child to be our Big Dog, please send in 6-7 pictures ranging from birth to their current age, that we may post in the room.  On Friday your son/daughter will tell the class about their pictures and may bring one item to show and share.  Further information will be sent home with the child as his/her week approaches.
